Is it true that the only purpose of the "Ilustre" Colegio de Abogados is protecting their member-lawyers ?
Is there Justice in Spain after Gen. Franco has died ?
Is there now less discipline and more anarchy in .
this country with probably the highest percentage of lawyers ?
The "Ilustre Colegio de Abogados" in Alicante was asked to investigate the work of a lawyer. It was made clear to the petitioner that only letters in a certain form of Spanish would be dealt with. After about eigth months a refusal was sent to him. The petitioner wrote he did NOT agree with their decision because they did not give any arguments whatsoever, but his letter was ignored. In a phonecall someone told him that his file would be sent to the Consejo Valenciano de Colegios de Abogados. Again after about eigth months the final refusal was sent to him. Probably because of not defining a claim professionally and correctly in Spanish with the relevant numbers of Spanish LAWS and ARTICLES. The discussion was closed. The next step could only be carried out with the help of another (collegue) lawyer before a Court in Alicante, within an allowed time of only a few weeks. What did these answers from the "Ilustres Colegios de Abogados" have to do with the request for an investigation in the presented petition ?
It looks very much like it that the Ilustres Colegios de Abogados is only protecting their lawyers.
The Ministerio de Justicia in Madrid was approached, but there was not much of a response.
Also the Sindic de Greuges de la Comunitat Valenciana did not do anything substantial.
Does anyone know how to handle this situation and how to find some common justice in Spain ?
